The loose powders are for getting ready. This is the one you carry — a finely micronised pressed powder for taking shine down at 4pm without rebuilding your face.

Unlike the loose powders, it carries subtle semi-transparent coverage, so it evens tone slightly as it mattifies. The finish is natural matte rather than flat, and it's light enough that layering it through the day doesn't build up into a powdered look.

Vitamins A, C and E condition, and aluminium starch does the oil absorbing.

Shade note: 3A Golden Beige runs yellow, which is useful if you're fighting redness or a foundation that's gone too pink.

Apply as the final step of your complexion routine after foundation and concealer.

Pick up a small amount of powder with a fluffy powder brush or powder puff. Tap away any excess, then gently press or sweep the product over the face.

Concentrate on areas prone to shine, such as the forehead, nose and chin. Apply lightly and build only where additional mattifying or evening is needed.

For touch-ups during the day, gently blot away excess oil before applying a thin layer of powder.
